“The multiplicity of a city or of a world is not only a happy fact, it is also impregnated with great suffering, with historical and contemporary injustices, too often postponed to the future. How can we imagine the weave of links and their contents if there is no prior recognition?
What relationships can be established between humans, to the living, in a society that evolves in an abused and abusive system? How can we repair, heal, rethink, and imagine these relationships not only in terms of us humans, but also as particles of a global ecosystem? This process of reparation summons our relationships to the realities and acts in our local and distant daily lives.
This exhibition, which brings together artists and organizations alike, offers us a platform to think with the absent-present, an opportunity to recognize the realities to which we are connected through our multiple belongings” - Nedjma Hadj Benchelabi
