Description

On this week's episode of We'll be Right Back, we are joined by Michael Gulotta, chef partner of Maypop, Mopho, and Rum and the Lash! Michael talks about sustaining the drive and energy needed to open and maintain restaurants in the wake of Covid, the mixed results and challenges created by the government aid programs utilized by small businesses, and the business of survival.

Today, we’d like to highlight and encourage you all to check out the Made in New Orleans Foundation (MiNO). MiNO envisions a New Orleans hospitality industry that leads the world in growing, supporting, and financing the success of people of color. They use a multidisciplinary approach to address and eliminate disparities facing hospitality professionals of color. In response to COVID-19 MiNO is providing immediate emergency financial aid and resources; supporting career and business recovery; and providing online programming to amplify the voices of hospitality professionals of color.

The city of New Orleans has rolled out a new visualization tool for the public to see and assess milestones as we deal with Covid-19.
