Today, we begin the book of Esther and learn some of the details of this beautiful story of God's protection and deliverance, although the name of God is never directly mentioned in this book. We learn of Esther's rise to royalty and God's purpose in establishing her as Queen, as well a details about an evil plot devised by Haman, and Mordecai's insistence on Esther's help.
