Today, we begin reading the historical books that record Israel's history after the Babylonian cativity has ended and they return to Jerusalem under Cyrus' decree. Ezra reccords for us the decree of Cyrus that supplied the freedom for them to return with favor, as well as the genealogical record of those who returned, and the restoration of worship as the Temple is now being rebuilt.
