As we begin to study the book of Job, we discover who this man is, and how his special circumstances and sufferings began and why. As a contemporary of Abraham, we find how godly he was, what kind of parent he was, and how much he suffered very quickly, and how faithful he was in spite of his disasters. Job shows us a real person whose faith was put to the test, and how he struggled to overcome.
