Building a business is about more than just making money. It should also bring you joy, fulfillment, and alignment with your values. Last year I found myself overwhelmed, burnt out, and disconnected from the passion that led me to start their business. Let’s explore how to shift your energy, streamline your workload, and create a business that truly supports your well-being.
The first step is awareness. How do you feel when you're working? Are there tasks that excite you, and others that drain you? Notice where stress shows up in your body.
When you recognize what’s causing stress or anxiety, you can take action. Can you outsource tasks that drain you? Can you restructure your schedule to include more of what energizes you? Identifying these patterns is the key to building a sustainable and fulfilling business.

If you struggle with hormonal shifts that impact your mood and focus, consider structuring your business in a way that allows for more flexibility. This could mean:
Your business should support your well-being, not deplete it.
If you’re feeling uninspired, it might be time to reconnect with activities outside of work. Hobbies and creative outlets fuel joy, and they can even make you more productive in your business.
Think back to what you loved as a kid or teenager. Were you into photography, music, writing, or crafting? Have you stopped doing those things because you feel like they’re “not productive”?
How are you spending your time outside of work? If you find yourself endlessly scrolling social media, constantly feeling the need to “be productive,” or neglecting self-care, it’s time to reassess.
Instead of doom-scrolling, try:
