Dave is a Bushcrafter. He runs The Coastal Wanderer a small company which aims to introduce people to bushcrafting and foraging.
Bushcraft can elicit a bit of a mixed response from many of us in the outdoor community. It does seem to cover quite a wide range of activities. We have all seen some very bad practice around fire lighting and so called wild camping in the outdoors and we’ve often blamed bushcraft TV shows or military wannabees in cotton camo gear. So, I wanted to find out more about what real bushcraft is and what we really mean by foraging and how it fits in to the Outdoor world.
