There’s so much talk about education, or the lack thereof that our kids are receiving from our public schools. I myself have spoken on the subject and while I feel that there is definite need for change in that space, another area is being neglected as well. Parents seem to have forgotten that part of their job is to educate their children on the issues that aren’t covered in school and that are also of particular relevance for people of African descent. Manners and etiquette (this includes conflict resolution) 4. Entrepreneurship 5. Black Pride/Ancestry (sorely lacking here, I’ll save further thoughts on this topic for another post) 6. How to be responsible and keep your word
