This week, The Football Misfits celebrate the life of Diego Maradona, who passed away on Wednesday afternoon. Ronny and LV discuss the tributes across the football world and reflect on the legacy he leaves behind and his successes with Boca Juniors, FC Barcelona, and — the team he saw the most success at — Napoli. They give their opinions on whether or not the number 10 shirt should be retired by FIFA, as suggested by current Marseille manager Andre Villas-Boas.
On the field, the good brother and cohost Spencer makes a cameo to discuss Jurgen Klopp's heated postgame interview against Brighton; in which he's upset that Liverpool were slated to play the earliest game on Saturday after playing on Wednesday night and the inability of the Premier League to adopt the five-sub rule.
Ronny and LV then discuss their favorite matches of the past week in Champions League and of the weekend as well as their favorite goals from long range. What is your favorite goal from distance? Let us know on Instagram (@footymisfits) and remember to always interact with us.
