It's Episode 52 of The Football Misfits and the first team dives straight into the Women's Olympic Tournament; where Team USA and the Netherlands provided the match of the tournament while Great Britain and Brazil also went down. Ronny, Spencer, and LV also discuss the rise in women's football and the shrinking gap between the Americans and other nations around the world. On the men's side of Tokyo 2020, Egypt and Ivory Coast found their ways into the quarterfinals while we're left with four of the strongest nations in the competition — Japan, Spain, Mexico, and Brazil. In the Western Hemisphere, USA and Mexico drag their feet to the fire in order to advance to the Gold Cup Final as Qatar and Canada weren't going to be easy walkovers. The good brothers also share their thoughts on the latest preseason club headlines, the return of Ligue 1, and award BS of the Week to coaches injuring players and clubs practically printing money. As always, we appreciate everyone's listenership and social media interactions on Instagram (@footymisfits)!
