Kickboxer Lauren made the switch to Taekwondo after having watched Jade Jones become Olympic Champion at London 2012 on her TV.
The Welsh-born teenager competed at junior level before she moved to join the GB Academy in Manchester.
Lauren became Junior World Champion in 2014 and began fighting as a senior in 2016.
After only spending a few months as a senior, Lauren struck gold at the European Championships in Montreux. She was also selected as a reserve for the Olympic Games in Rio, before retaining her title as Junior World Champion later that year.
A force to be reckoned with, Lauren has gone on to defend her European crown and finished off 2018 with a gold at the Grand Slam in Wuxi, China.
With Injury's trouble and other external factors, Lauren arrived in Tokyo after the squad and with preperations arguably a concern, it was her focus and cool that took her to the final in Tokyo and the Silver medal was hers. Tune in at 6:30pm for an Instagram live with the GB medalist and 7pm for the release of her episode.
