Description

Charmaine Respass, a native of Austin, Texas co-founded Antioch Christian Fellowship a non-denominational church alongside her husband, Christopher J. Respass of 25 years in summer 2002. Charmaine currently serves as the Executive Director where she leads the Operations of the church utilizing her gifts in administration and leadership. However, her true passion is sharing her story on mental
illness and suicide. As a survivor of several suicide attempts she hopes that her story of mental illness and suicide will remove the negative stigma in the African American community. She’s also facilitated and hosted workshops on mental illness for teens and adults by sharing her personal journey and the adversities she’s experienced in hope of encouraging someone
to live.
In her spare time, Charmaine binge watches her favorite shows, Sanford and Son and all of the Law & Order compilations while drinking her Starbucks lattes. Charmaine’s greatest accomplishments are her husband of 25 years and their three adult children, Amber Garrett (Elton), CJ Respass, and Lauren Respass.
Charmaine’s favorite scripture is Philippians 4:8
“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”
Charmaine holds B.S. in Management & Ethics and a Masters of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University
