Description

Upon receiving her MS in Theatre Education from the City College of New York, Gianna Cioffi was motivated to create immersive and interactive theatrical experiences that were engaging and entertaining to all kids and teenagers, regardless of their age or ability. Together with her fellow artists, she founded Emit Theatre, which has performed for over 1000 students in schools across five boroughs, and now continues to create virtual content during social distancing.

For this week's episode, Anthony spoke with Gianna about how working both onstage and backstage prepared her for starting her own company, making Shakespeare fun and relevant for young audiences, Emit Theatre's program for new play submissions, and more!
