After a long and prolific career of directing theatre in Chicago, Marjorie Bicknell first tried her hand at writing, when she was commissioned to write a critically and commercially successful adaptation of Frankenstein. Today, she is one of the most influential playwrights in Philadelphia, representing the city as the Dramatists Guild Regional Representative.
