Originally from Tennessee, Jamil Chokachi has acted in and directed a wide range of productions in NYC & LA, from acting in the National Tour of Cabaret to directing message-driven productions of Marat/Sade & Animal Farm. Over the past decade, his artistic mission as a director has been greatly influenced by his own heritage, as he saw U.S. military involvement spread throughout the Middle East.
