Description

After years of working as a playwright, actor, director & reviewer, Paul Smith decided to take the initiative himself to get a wider variety of plays into print, after seeing too many deserving plays rejected by major publishers such as Samuel French. Today, UK-based digital play publisher Smith Scripts is the home of hundreds of scripts from a diverse range of genres, lengths, and writers from across the world.

For this week’s episode, Anthony spoke with Paul about what inspired him to get into the business of play publishing, why some plays get commercially produced over others, what it was like to write a script for Judi Dench, and more!
