Originally from Cincinnati, Jared Pettit went on to enjoy a prolific career in improv and comedy - both as a writer and as a performer - after studying screenwriting at DePaul University, as well as training as a comedian at the Second City Training Center. Yet it wasn’t until performing in A Sketch of New York in NYC that he was inspired to co-found the Salty Nuts Improv Troupe with his fellow artists.
For this week’s episode, Anthony spoke with Jared about his experience training at Second City, the events leading up to the beginning of the Salty Nuts Troupe and the shows that followed, how other comedians should respond when called out for offensive jokes, and more!
