Growing up in New York City, Marlin Thomas’s writing was largely informed by his experiences living in neighborhoods with a wide range of different backgrounds. Through his work, produced at various venues and festivals, he has aimed to try and unite people of different backgrounds, including through his World War II-era drama The Middleman.
For this week’s episode, Anthony spoke with Marlin about the inspiration behind The Middleman, how his work as a college administration prepared him for producing live theatre, different approaches to tackling controversial issues in art, and more!
