Derek Ting is the founder of FREESTYLE apparel, an electrical engineer, and a dancer. He discusses with Kylie why he started an eco-friendly clothing line, and the process of creating it; learning to deal with finances as a young adult, and the lack of education there is in America, concerning money; his journey straying from the “safe path” in order to have more personal fulfillment in his career, which included two solo cross-country road trips; his opinion on what a balanced lifestyle is; and how he has embraced his Taiwanese culture.
