I always say, “Literary bones must have meat on them.” That’s what Jesus has been doing (in Matthew 5-7). He wraps up the solid meat portion of His teaching meal with the transition word, “THEREFORE”. So we ask ourselves, what’s it there for? Jesus said “everyone who hears these words of Mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house in the rock.” Have you been building the house of your life on the solid foundation of Jesus’ teachings? After hearing this passage today, ask yourself these 3 questions to engage your thoughts about this passage? 1) “List the teachings offered by Jesus in this passage?” 2) “What are the things that catch your personal attention when you consider this passage?” and 3) “What has Jesus taught you, to do or be in your life, for God’s best future and glory?” Think, evaluate, celebrate, be motivated, and share God’s truth with others.
