Continuing the explanation of the wrestling battle between Esav's ministering angel and Yaakov, the angel saw that he could not subdue Yaakov, and this is because of his high level of guarding the covenant, which was why Yaakov was free of any trace of sadness and depression leaving no leverage for the angel to subdue him.
