ABOUT THIS EPISODE: Jess has been at her church for 11 years - incredible! Jess had the typical student ministry, until a student with autism joined her group. This totally changed the way she did ministry in really cool and unexpected ways. By responding to these students' needs, now Jess's church has an intentional community of college students and young adults with disabilities who live together.
ABOUT JESS: I am a youth pastor who love adventures but I often find myself falling into them rather than choosing them. My latest adventure is living in community with college students and young adults with disabilities as roommates. My heart lives at the intersection of Student Ministry and Disability Ministry and watching the two groups of people I love the most collide in the best possible ways makes my heart happy.
