Did you know that the reason Brown vs. The Board of Education’s ruling to end segregation in schools was actually because of a man named Charles Hamilton Houston? He is known as “the man who killed Jim Crow” and served as a mentor for Thurgood Marshall throughout his career. Unfortunately, Charles never had a chance to see everything he fought for come to pass.
