The gut microbiome is a giant black box. People are constantly bombarding you with messages and products telling you to “take this for your microbiome,” “eat this food to increase your microbial diversity,” or my favorite, “This ONE HACK will optimize your microbiome.” Most of that is just a giant hype train.
