We cannot discern wisely when we're confused. Learning to submit to true authority helps us to think clearly. Often times we won't even understand the decisions of a leader. God hides the wisdom behind it on purpose to test our obedience. We are called to obey even while we can't make sense of our leader's decisions.
Rest assured, the heart of our leader lies in God's hands. As we follow what they say to the dot, we will also realise God is more concerned about His authority being established in our hearts than for us to execute our own ideas to do His work.
