Edward Jenner (1749 - 1823) was an English country doctor who discovered the smallpox vaccine. Florence Nightingale (1820 - 1910) was the founder of modern nursing. These two innovators had enormous influence over subsequent medical practice and their actions have saved millions of lives. We can learn some powerful lessons from their stories.
