Nakeisha Dawson-Thompson was born and raised in the beautiful city of Beaufort. She has practiced as a licensed Registered Nurse for over 12 years. She is currently a Hospice RN and takes great pride in serving the dying and their families. Nakeisha is also very passionate about nurturing the youth with her love and support. She’s been married for 19 years to Preston Thompson, Jr. Together they have 5 children. Nakeisha is the Founder of a non-profit, faith based teenage girls’ mentoring organization - Gullah Daughters of Purpose, Inc. Nakeisha is also an actor, author, writing coach, motivational speaker and just recently has a new Non-medical homecare agency- Dawson & Dawson Homecare, LLC. From her experiences, flows her passions in life. Those passions continue to motivate her to be an active voice in the community where she was born and raised. She believes in empowering women, young and old, to know their worth and to walk in their purpose.
