For the episode #24 of the Puppet Podcast, we're speaking with Jared Ramirez, a full-time professional puppeteer trained at The Jim Henson Company and Bob Baker Marionette Theater. He has worked on Mystery Science Theater 3000, performed puppets on ABC, MTV, and Adult Swim productions and live at the Hollywood Bowl. For 3 years, he cohosted and curated a monthly show called “When Puppets Are Your Only Friends.” He can frequently be seen performing mainly ad-libbed interactive marionette and hand-puppet clown acts around various LA comedy and variety shows. Recently, he puppeteered/voiced an Octopus beside Chef David Chang in a commercial for Sweetgreen and produced/moderated several artist talks with UK puppeteer Barnaby Dixon.

About the Puppet Podcast "On The Road": I am actually touring the ice hockey arenas from the United States and Canada with a Cirque du Soleil show called "Axel" and I am the only puppeteer on ice of the show. The purpose of this podcast is to help the puppet art to become even more well known by the general public so that they understand more this very unique craft.
