Punit is joined by James Monaghan for a conversation about how an individual can protect their privacy and identity. He talks about how trust based identity validation mechanisms can be developed to provide individuals with opportunities to choose and authenticate themselves.
James has spent his career so far building startups that use technology to improve how people interact with businesses and with each other. This has taken him on a journey which began in the early days of mobile messaging, through account security for the world’s largest online brands, and currently the exciting realm of digital identity. Today James serves as the Vice President of Product Management at Evernym, a company pioneering the movement towards “self-sovereign” or decentralised identity. He holds a Masters degree in Engineering, a Certified Information Privacy Technologist qualification, and a penchant for long distance running.
