“For God’s gifts[dreams] and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]”
What can I learn from the dream Mary had in her heart:
· Came as she was found seeking the Lord in her life
· Only God could bring it to pass, but she had to be willing to accept that it was possible.
· She had to take steps to obey. (Name her son Jesus, marry Joseph)
· She had to revisit the dream to keep it alive in her heart.
So what does a dream look like to me today:
· Seek the Lord
· Be willing to see the impossible as possible
· Believe that God’s plan/purpose/gift/callings don’t change because of any circumstances
· Be ready to trust that God will bring the vision in your heart to pass
What if I feel stuck? How do I begin to dream?
· God’s Word expands your vision/horizons
“And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed. Haven’t I commanded you? Strength! Courage! Don’t be timid; don’t get discouraged. God, your God, is with you every step you take.”
· Prayer with Him assures of His hand on you
“For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not,[I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!].”
· Be around people who “see” bigger than you
· Serve in a church/ministry that has a worldwide vision
o It’s contagious!
· Take time to write things down and revisit them
