Friday's have become Financial Friday (s) on the Sounds of Stonebridge Podcast. Before we got into the main part of Episode 32, I wanted to take some time to thank one of our original hosts, Don Gould. Don has been an inspiration to me when it comes to my podcasting career overall and I will miss working with him a regular basis. Don is not totally going away, just won't be on the show on a regular basis. We then moved on to Financial Friday (s) with Ken Nemery. Ken has over 35 years of experience on Wall Street and he brings this experience and insights to the show. We focused on the subject of investing for income in a zero interest market. Ken mentioned a few strategies that he is using with his clients. We discused what investments will pay off in this market and how it's critical to pay attention to the fundamentals and key signals being sent out by the economy in general and also things like the stock market and other key indicators. We then turned our attention to the news of the morning which was that domestic retail is down -16.4%, continuing the downward trajectory from March. May looks slightly better bit will still be down even as the country starts to get through the first 2 phases of the re-start following the Covid-19 crisis that lingers on and may for some time. On the upcoming Financial Friday (s), we will look at some specific investment catageories and places to put your money during these times of uncertainty. The Sounds of Stonebridge will be droping down to 3 days a week starting this upcoming Monday, May 18th. You can catch the show on Tuesdays, Thursday and Friday.
