Today, June 5, 2020, aside from being National Donut Day, is also the last episode of the Sounds of Stonebridge Podcast. Fridays are also "Financial Friday" of the Sounds of Stonebridge, with Ken Nemery. On today's episode, we discussed whats going on out there from an economic and investing standpoint. It started off by discussing today's unemployment figures, which were much better than anyone anticipated. Both Ken and I were surprised by that situation, although many retail businesses are starting to open back up. We both hoped there is nothing being buried in the numbers to make things look better. As I like to say When you hit bottom, there is only one way to go and that is up. Ken went on to further discuss some of the leading edge indicators that he looks at and what people can focus on with respect to making sound investment choices. Ken feels that we still have a number of hurdles to get over but that things are off to a good start in terms of economic and financial recovery. Jeff Hall, our Director of Golf popped in at the end for a proper send off to the Sounds of Stonebridge. After 43 episodes, I forgot about a half episode, I hope that we were able to inform and entertain residents here at Stonebridge. We had over 20 guests join us and I hope that we were able to give people a little laugh and diversion during the Covid-19 crisis. Thanks again to my co-hosts, Jean Frankel, Jeff Hall and Don Gould. This is Neil Schwartz, the host of the Sounds of Stonebridge Podcast signing off. I will see you around the neighborhood.
