Michael is a pro swimmer who holds a few world records, has numerous international medals, and is vying for a spot of the US Olympic team for Tokyo 2020/2021. Cassi is married to Michael and both moved to San Diego about 2 years ago.
As most of us know, the Tokyo Olympics have been postponed. For the Olympic vets to the athletes vying for their first trip, that announcement affects them all. I am stoked to dive into how Michael & Cassi is responding to the situation and I hope that mindset can apply to anyone that is listening.
Beyond the olympics, what I love about Michael & Cassi is what they are beyond swimming. We talk about how Cassi is as much involved in the swimming competition as Michael is, the differences between the south and the west coast, and what it is like being married relatively young and living the life they are living.
I love how we dove into their lives beyond the sport and talk about things that indirectly affect what we see as consumers of Olympic sports.
