Interview with Dr. Jason Klugman. Jason is the director of the Princeton University Preparatory Program (PUPP), a comprehensive college preparation initiative that supports low-income, high achieving high school students from the Mercer County, NJ region. He has served in that role since 2004.
Jason earned his doctorate in Education, Culture and Society at the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education where he studied the process of becoming an urban teacher and taught courses in urban studies and the foundations of education. He is an occasional lecturer in Princeton's Department of Anthropology. From 2004 to 2017, he was also a program associate and lecturer in Princeton's Program in Teacher Preparation.
A former social studies teacher at West Philadelphia High School, Dr. Klugman holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Johns Hopkins University and teacher certifications in secondary social studies and English.
