Description

It's #orangeshirt day in Canada. We're honouring the victims of the Residential School System.

You can't just slap an orange shirt on your child and go about your day!

In order to not just have this be performative, you need to tell them WHY they're wearing orange. And that can be scary.

In this episode I will be discussing:

- Why you shouldn't participate in days like Orange Shirt Day unless speak to your kids about it.

- How to talk to young children about historical acts of racism in a way that makes it relatable and sparks empathy.

- How to talk to young children at their level
