Laurel Rutledge, Founder and CEO of LKR Group LLC and LaurelRutledge.com, is a Career and Leadership Expert and HR Strategist. During her extensive career, she built global teams, develop, and coached leaders, implemented large scale projects and effectively managed broad organizational change. Prior to her last corporate role as the VP and Global Head of HR Strategy and Analytics for Covestro, Laurel held other executive human resources roles, as well as senior roles in internal audit, consulting and risk management for companies and clients such as Bayer, Deloitte, Hillenbrand Industries/Hill-Rom, Batesville Casket and General Motors. Laurel’s multi-functional background means she speaks the language of business. Her global experience has given her a perspective that enables her to effectively coach individuals from the plant for to the boardroom. One of Laurel’s guiding principles is “people will listen to what you say, but they will believe what you do.” With this philosophy, along with her deep business knowledge, she guides the most senior leaders as they step into or continue to move in their most significant and challenging roles. Key in her work with both emerging and senior leaders has been setting strategy, building teams, aligning communication and action for effective execution. Laurel coaches individuals, teams and diverse groups. In fact, her signature program, The Empowered Action Academy, provides women with a safe, but challenging space to align, clarify their vision and move into action to achieve their goals. She is also an expert facilitator and has been facilitating strategic discussions for the last 25 years. By their very nature, the discussions have been both sensitive and challenging.
