All Scripture is inspired by God and beneficial       for teaching, for rebuke, for correction, for training in righteousness; 17 so       that the man or       woman of God may be fully  capable, equipped for every good work.

• It leads to Spiritual maturity - 1 Peter 2:2

"like newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the word, so that by it you may grow in respect to salvation,"

• It prepares you to give an answer for your faith - 1 Peter 3:15

but sanctify Christ as Lord in your       hearts, always being ready to       make a [b]defense to       everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in       you, but with gentleness and respect;
