Helen has achieved some of the most remarkable feats you have ever heard of. Named by National Geographic as one of the greatest explorers of the twentieth century, she has pioneered some fantastic expeditions.
Her accomplishments include
First woman to travel alone to any of the worlds poles at age 50 without dog sled, snowmobile, resupply or support
First woman to walk across the sahara desert
Walked across the gobi desert
Kayaked the amazon river
Lived near a wolf den for a year to study wild wolves
American national Luge champion
Represented 3 countries in international track and field
