Hayden is a New Zealand Rally driver. He was the PWRC world champion in 2011, and is considered one of the greatest drivers to represent New Zealand. In 2016, Hayden became the first kiwi to win a WRC Rally, competing against the best of the world in a race that came down to the wire. Hayden is a pioneer of the sport for his country, and is apart of a team in Otago that is looking at developing the worlds first electric Rally car.
It was fun chatting with Hayden about his racing career, where it started (as a teenager racing with L plates on), and how he managed to climb the ranks to sit among the best in the world. We talked about the importance of setting goals and taking risks to accomplish the dreams we all have.
