The Chief Medical Officer, Dr John Lee, reports 342 COVID-19 tests have been carried out since our last report on Wednesday, 7 October. One was positive. The individual is a returning traveller who tested positive during routine screening and will remain in isolation until recovered.  

Public Health is investigating a suspected breach of isolation protocols by a traveller and another person residing locally.The traveller, along with their household, has been moved to a Government Quarantine Facility, and the local resident is also being detained.

Government welcomes the delivery of humanitarian supplies, coordinated through CDEMA to assist in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.The humanitarian supplies, donated by the World Health Organization and the Jack Ma Foundation, included 3 thousand 640 N95 face masks, (117,900) one hundred and seventeen thousand, 900 surgical face masks –which will be added to the National Personal Protective Equipment Register.
