With almost a quarter of the population tested for Covid 19, the Cayman Islands Government looks ahead to the rest of the local economy reopening. Premier the Honorable Alden McLaughlin says they will be closely monitoring the infection rate with an eye on the return of touch businesses like non-emergency doctor visits, hair salons and barber shops. Cabinet today also issued a directive to Government to pay all outstanding invoices, refunds and bills in an effort to put cash back into the community where it can be spent to bolster the local economy.
