Description

· The Chief Medical Officer of Health confirms one positive from 267 COVID-19 tests carried out since Tuesday, April 6th.

· The last scheduled shipment of vaccines from the UK arrives today aboard the British Airways flight. The supplies mean that the Cayman Islands have been provided with enough vaccines to fully cover over 45,000 people (nearly 90% of those eligible over 16 years of age).

· The Customs and Border Control Service (CBC) acknowledges the situation with the migrants who are refusing to disembark the vessel, Bulk Freedom. CBC can confirm that there are ten adult males, two adult females and one infant female remaining on board. They were spotted on a vessel in distress about 50 nautical miles west of Grand Cayman, which had been adrift for the past few days.

· Police confirm an SUV that was believed to have been involved in an armed robbery over the weekend has been recovered and examined.

· The Sister Islands gets a new Area Commander. Mr. Yearwood succeeds Acting Inspector Kevin Bogle in the role. Mr. Bogle has returned to uniform policing duties on Grand Cayman after successfully completing his two-year tenure.
