"We all know things don't always work the way we want it to, but the more you push yourself to stay in routine and find what works for you. I know I, myself do a lot of like deep breathing exercises, if I'm having like a bad anxiety attack or I feel it coming, I'll look around the room and I'll start to count things and, I've learned a lot of techniques throughout counselling throughout the years as well that I always just try to incorporate into things for myself."
Stephanie is over 3 years sober now, and resides in Guelph, Ontario. She has worked hard to get to where she is going today in life. Like anything life is not always easy and has its ups and downs, but Stephanie has shown the true definition of determination, she gets up and pushes through the day even when she is not feeling like she wants too. She hits the gym for her mental health, and physical health. She is so open and honest about her lived experiences through life, the vulnerability is there also. Like most people she struggles day to day with mental health, but she also talks about it openly which will in turn help someone else also.
