"It was actually like the week before Christmas, I think so many events came in one week that kind of ruined my world. Basically I got let go from a job, I went through a breakup, I had an injury towards my back. If anyone's familiar with back injuries, I had a herniated disc at L five S one herniated, which I'm still dealing with now."
Carlo fell in love with fitness at the age of 18, and ever since he's dedicated his life to living a healthy lifestyle. As he grew older his ambitions and goals for life grew larger, but little by little he lost himself. At the age of 24 he became severely depressed and on multiple occasions contemplated taking his own life because he felt no matter how hard he tried, he always failed. He felt insecure, inadequate, ashamed and worthless. Nothing helped. From telling family how he was feeling too speaking to a therapist, nothing worked. Later he found that the advice and lessons he was being taught from family, friends and his therapist was right, but he wasn't in the right state. He realized when he was forced to change his physiology, and his physical state, he began to see things clearly. He began to realize that he didn't want to leave his family and all the things he loved. He felt like a different person, or more accurately, the real "Me". He began to feel all of the love around him and had such a craving to live his life to the fullest with the belief that HE COULD DO IT! He now sees clearly where he wants to go and look forward to each day so he can get closer to his life goals. He wants to share his story with others and show anyone dealing with depression, or even if you're just burnt out that there is a light at the end of the tunnel.
