Hard work and dedication may as well be MaizyF middle name. Not only is she a skilled emcee and producer, but she is also the mastermind behind the 6ix Female Cypher, est. 2015, featured on Rogers TV.
Laying modern trap and pop on top of a well-managed hip-hop base, MaizyF creates layer upon layer of dynamic sounds when she steps into the studio and up to the mic. She notes, “I focus on melodies when it comes to producing and singing, as writing. Rapping, on the other hand, I focus on flow and wordplay,” adding, “My rhymes can be interpreted in many different ways based on the listener and their point of view which is what makes my music relatable and unique. Versatility is key”.
MaizyF has been featured on BET Freestyle Friday and was ranked Top 5 in Toronto by an Industry Panel of music professionals. Additionally, MaizyF ‘s music has been played on Radio stations like 93.5FM, 105.5 Vibe FM, and 93.1FM. and radio stations across the US. Blogs like We Love HipHop and BuzzMusicLA, have also interviewed and featured some of MaizyF’ work.
