Over the last ten years, travel became my way of life. I backpacked Europe and South America for almost a year, learning about new cultures and stepping beyond my comfort zone. I drove around the United States for months on end (five different times) camping every night, rain or shine.
Yet, despite where I ended up in this world, there was one thing that I couldn’t escape: myself.
In 2018, I was diagnosed with an eating disorder and have been navigating a world of major depression for over a decade. Since then, I’ve been on the road to recovery and advocating for others who suffer in silence from mental health conditions.
I’m here to share my personal journey of recovery , provide support for individuals and families affected by eating disorders, and help to break down the stigma and shame associated with mental illness. This is me being passionate about something that is bigger than myself.
In a world where eating disorders affect over 70 million people around the globe, where every 62 minutes a person’s life is taken by an eating disorder, it’s time to join in on the conversation and be an advocate for those who feel alone and be a voice for those that can’t find their own.
In this episode here are some of the topics we cover:

Normalizing mental health
Talking about her upcoming book “In Body I Trust”
Eating disorders and overcoming them
Recovery
Not assuming things
Depression and anxiety
Backpacking for a year all over the world
What triggered her eating disorder
Body dysmorphia
Journalling
