Description

He is the founder of the Jeffery Deskovic foundation for justice, which frees wrongfully convicted people and pursues policy changes aimed at preventing that. And they were able to get 11 people home and able to pass three laws in the preventative offer. He is also an advisory board member of the coalition group. He says, it could happen to you. The foundation also helped to pass an additional five laws. All of them in New York, except for one which is in Pennsylvania foundation currently has 10 active cases. They're pursuing policy changes in New York, Pennsylvania, and California. He's also on a global advisory council for restorative justice international.

He has a master's degree in criminal justice,  also an attorney and he started all of this advocacy work because he was exonerated himself after 16 years in prison who at 32 for a murder and rape, which he did not commit. He was exonerated through DNA testing, which identified the actual perpetrator who was subsequently arrested and convicted for that.
