The art of managing the self is self management. It’s taking the approach and making each action deliberate. It’s managing your day. It’s managing how you will go about your day from a mental perspective. It’s preparing yourself for the day and allowing yourself flexibility throughout the day, so that when, and if things come up, they don’t irritate you to the point that it interrupts your flow. Self management starts I believe at the top of the day. For myself that’s where it starts. It starts in the morning. In fact, it may even start the night before I start to prepare for my next day. I prep a lot of the things that I’m going to need for the next day the day before. It’s a great way for me to have a head start on the day to come. As I continue to practice these management behaviors, I have found that my anxiety is down, my stress is down and I’m not rushing as much.
