Mary talked about Sabrina the Teenage Witch by Kelly Thompson, illustrated by Veronica Fish and Andy Fish. A fresh fun twist on a favorite comic character.
For her second book, Mary delved into the world of MYSTERY with Maureen Johnson's Truly Devious, the first in a trilogy.
Marisa talked about The Truth As Told By Mason Buttle by Leslie Connor, a realistic mystery with a main character, Mason, whose brain just doesn't work like everyone else's. People look at him and treat him differently since the accident 15 months ago...but all he wants is a friend.
Marisa's second book dove into the richly descriptive fantasy world of Crown Coral and Pearl by Mara Rutherford. A sea village of beautiful daughters, where the loveliest will go to land and marry the prince...but this book is filled with sisterhood, bravery, and the mystery of what awaits the chosen bride on land in the dark mountain kingdom?.
