Cluiche Caointe explores the push and pull that comes with reconciling love, abuse, and grief in a short radio play about a young woman (Joan) who is preemptively grappling with the loss of an abusive parent. How do we cope with the love we feel for our abusers? How do we bear their loss? And how can we reconcile their human weakness with their monstrous behaviour?
